Hello, My husband and I (54 years old) are a House/Pet Sitting Duo. We have been pet sitting for over 10 years now and have loved almost every minute of it. Animals are precious and pure and deserve our very best. We have been on a world-wide adventure for almost a year. In this time we have had very successful petsits in the USA, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. Our goal is to travel the world for a few years and find a community that we feel is our future home. Somewhere where we can be accepted and be a positive influence on the people around us. We are hoping to waylay the cost of some of this travel by house sitting on our way. I also cannot go to long without making a furry/feathered/scaley new friend (yes, I am an animal addict) so I am hoping this will feed my need for animal snuggles. I grew up in Wisconsin, USA, and from little on I was lucky enough to have pet raccoons, rabbits, dogs, birds, opossum, snakes, cats, frogs, fish, and yes, even a skunk (in the house). We also had cattle, but those were on our farmland. Since moving away from the Midwest of the USA I have seldom been without a dog by my side. Eric is the cat whisperer in this couple. My main goal, besides my very selfish intent on loading up on animal snuggles, is to make the homeowners and pet parents so comfortable knowing that their homes and pets are being so well cared for that they do not lose one moment to worry while they are away. I like to stay in contact with our hosts on a regular basis, ensuring they know all is well. I am a Medical Assistant and a Surgical Technician. My skills in caring for people translate very well into animal care. I am very experienced doing glucose checks, insulin injections, medication administration, and nebulizer treatments on a variety of animals.
