I'm a composer and travel a lot for work. I have 4 kitties and a garden so often need someone to hang out here and keep stuff alive. The house is a small cottage in the middle of nowhere, so it's really peaceful. The neighbours are lovely and the sea is about 30 mins away by car. You can wake up to bird song and just chill out in the garden with your breakfast. Small cottage with wood burning fire, solar panels, large garden, polytunnel and fire pit. Calm and tranquil, wake up to birdsong every day. The blackbird will sing you to bed in the evenings. Lovely neighbours, surrounded by farmland and at the end of a lane with no through road. About 10 mins by car to the nearest shop, post office, pharmacy, doctor, bank and petrol. You really need a car here I'm afraid. The nearest town is about 10 minutes by car and there is no public transport at all. If you had an emergency or needed to take a cat to the vet you would definitely need a car (or motorbike). It's 30 mins to the beach by car, also some lovely chateaux and gardens to visit. Forest walks within 15 mins, big lake walk at Callac. Fishing, swimming watersports, kite surfing, parascending all at the beaches near by. Mobility! It is possible to live on the ground floor, there is a bed in the lounge which I use in the winter (sleeping next to the wood burner is very cosy!). There are two steps up into the front door (shallow and wide) and two narrow steps down into the kitchen, and a small step up into the shower. There is a chair in the shower. The driveway is gravel so bad for wheelchairs. I do have a couple of metal ramps in the garage which I can let you use to lay out on the gravel. I'm planning to make a boardwalk over the gravel for wheelchairs but currently haven't got it. I would say it's probably not possible for a full time wheelchair user but if you can do a couple of steps with sticks you might be OK. Let me know if you want to discuss this and I'll try to figure something out for you. The only phone network which works here is Orange (or SOSH which is essentially the same company). You'll need a SIM card which works in France and can get on the Orange Network. The house is in the process of being decorated slowly! So there are areas where it needs some paint and plastering. I hope that's OK for you. It's not perfect but it's cosy. I would ask that you don't post any photos or videos of my home and garden online. Thanks.
